Traditional machines are mechanical: a motor, a control box, and a performer who adjusts settings when someone asks. The Solace breaks that pattern by connecting to the same app ecosystem as the wearables, which means the tip feed drives it directly.
That puts it in a category of its own. It has the mechanical scale of a machine but the interaction model of a toy, and rooms using one feel closer to a standard tip-menu session than to a scheduled machine show.
